how to make slime (with borax!)

Hi Flossie here
I'm so sorry I haven't posted in ages but I haven't had any time to do it,
anyway today I am going to be making slime!!

what you need:

  • what you need:
  • glue ( preferably elmers glue)
  • two disposable cups
  • food coloring
  •  water
  • borax powder
  • a plastic spoon
  • tablespoon (for measuring)

method:

  1. Fill one small cup with water and add a spoonful of the Borax powder and stir it up. Then leave it out the way.
  2. Fill the other small cup with about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of the glue.
  3. Add three tablespoons (20 ml) of water to the glue and stir.
  4. Add a few drops of the food coloring and stir it up until mixed.
  5. Now the fun part…Add one tablespoons of the Borax solution you made earlier and stir well. Watch the slime form!
  6. After the slime forms let it sit for about 30 seconds and then pull it off the spoon and play with it!
  7. Tip: keep your slime in a seeled plastic bag or pot when you are not playing with it!!

making Millies cookies

Hi everyone Flossie here

Today I am going to be making cookies I wanted to make my fave kinds so I managed to find the recipe for them.

Ingredients:

  • 125g butter, softened
  • 100g light brown soft sugar
  • 125g caster sugar
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 225g self-raising flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 200g chocolate chips
Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees c, gas mark 4
  2. cream butters and sugars, once creamed, combine in the egg and vanilla
  3. sift in the flour and salt, then the chocolate chips
  4. roll into walnut size balls, for a more homemade look, or roll into a long, thick sausage shape and slice to make neater looking cookies
  5. place on ungreased baking paper. if you want to have the real Millies experience then bake for just 7 minutes, till the cookies are just setting-the cookies will be really doughy and just like millies cookies. Otherwise cook for 10 minutes until golden round the edges.
take them out of the oven and then leave them to harden for a minute before moving to a cooling rack, They are great warm, and also store well, if they don't get all get eaten straight away!!!
sorry there is no pic of the cookies they were all gone before I managed to take the photo

the ultimate sleepover guide

Hi everyone,
Today's post is very exciting- I am collaborating with my best friend Liv, she also has a blog: www.looleeloo1.blogspot.com  We always have sleepovers, and we thought this would be a really fun post- were both writing this together at a sleepover. Don't worry this isn't super cheesy. Hope you enjoy! xxx

  1. Make your bed ready for when you go to sleep ( or not go to sleep!!) but for me and liv as we are at that point in friendship where we usually go straight to sleep when we get tired. If you're like us, you can try and make your room look really pinterest.
  2. Put your pyjamas on, everything is better when you're comfy!!
  3. Prepare snacks-  Lets be honest, at sleepovers everyone eats wayy to many chocolates- but hey, that's the fun of it.
  4. watch a film- Netflix has hundreds, but if your like us you have probably watched everything on there, so I always have a few films in mind to rent if we want.
  5. try out crazy makeup looks, doing makeup with a friend is the best, its way more fun and you can laugh with each other when you can't do eyeshadow.
  6. Do face masks, so you don't break out after caking on that foundation when you did your makeup. Put cucumbers on your eyes, I don't really know what these do, but it's kind of essential.
  7. Go on a photoshoot for your instagram feed. I don't know about you guys, but if I see anything, I usually think " how good will this make my feed"- That's just how my mind works lol.
  8. if you share an interest like me and Liv share blogging and literally everything then, in our case write a blog or do each others hair.
  9. Go to bed and play on your phone and check all of your social medias, relax and have fun on your sleepover!!!!

                         Lots of love,

fashion items

Hi  Flossie here

Today I am going to be posting about fashion, I am going to be showing you my fave outfits and I will tell you where I got everything from as well. Hope you enjoy!!

This outfit is one of my favourites because it could be casual or you could go out for dinner in it, things could be added to make it more posh or just could be left for a casual look. The shoes are casual and could be changed if you wanted to make it look more posh!!

jumper: ASOS.
jeans: Johnnie B.
shoes: converse.

This is a cute outfit because it would be great for a party or going out with your friends. I really like it because you could add tights if it was cold and it would still be as nice as it was before. You could wear it any time of the year and there would be something that you could change or add too it. The shoes match it perfectly as the pink is the same as in the top.

top: urban outfitters
skirt: Zara kids
shoes: Nike free run

This is my favourite casual look because you could go out shopping in it or you could stay at home and watch a movie in it, as the jeans are stretchy and the jumper is comfy and soft. For shoes I added some brightly coloured ones so that it made the whole look a bit brighter.

jumper: urban outfitters
jeans: Topshop petit
shoes: Nike Airmax
last but not least the one thing to finish all of these looks is this coat it goes with everything. I wear this coat almost every day and it is so comfy. I would highly recommend getting this coat.

coat: Zara basics outwear
